1. Of all the old vinyl UK Ace albums, they are among the most asked-for on CD by those who bought them decades ago and want to indulge themselves in a newly digitised version. Over the course of the next year-and-a-bit, we’ll be reissuing all five volumes of “The Ace (Ms) Story” using the original covers.

3. Also, it's not identical to the track LP titled The Ace Story, Vol. 2 that came out in the '70s. This edition adds 12 bonus tracks, making it a more comprehensive sampler of the label's rock and R&B. Note, however, that this is more a sampler than a best-of.

6. All good things must come to an end. And so it is that, having reached Volume 5 this month, we bid a fond farewell to “The Ace Story”. There’s enough good stuff left in the vaults of Johnny Vincent’s label to fill five more CDs, but our original plan was to expand the albums we put out in the late 70s and early 80s, so we’re stopping here – for now, at least – in the knowledge we.
